Apple introduced the Vision Pro, a groundbreaking mixed-reality headset, at their Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2023. The highly anticipated device is anticipated to hit the market in early 2024, with a price tag of $3,499 in the US.
The Vision Pro boasts cutting-edge features, including a 4K display for each eye, an impressive array of 12 cameras and five sensors, and it is powered by Apple's state-of-the-art M2 chip along with a newly developed R1 chip.
One unique aspect of the Vision Pro is its reliance on advanced input methods. Rather than physical controllers, users can interact with the visionOS operating system using eye tracking, hand gestures, and voice commands. This innovative approach provides a more immersive and intuitive user experience.
The Vision Pro incorporates a feature called EyeSight, which projects a live feed of the user's eyes onto the external-facing screen of the headset. This design element aims to make conversations with others less awkward while wearing the device.
Additionally, the Vision Pro includes a feature called Optic ID, which utilizes iris scanning technology to unlock the headset and authenticate the user's identity, ensuring secure access to the device's features and content.

Reports suggest that the Meta Quest Pro incorporates ten advanced VR/MR sensors, including full-color cameras designed for high-resolution mixed reality passthrough. This feature enables users to observe and interact with the physical world while wearing the headset.
Meta Quest Pro allegedly introduces Meta Avatars, which utilize eye tracking and facial sensors to capture natural facial expressions in virtual reality. This technology aims to enable users to convey their true emotions and reactions while interacting with others.
The Meta Quest Pro is also said to include Meta Quest Touch Pro Controllers, featuring self-tracking cameras and precision controls to accurately replicate hand gestures and detailed finger actions in the virtual environment.
